Biology Notebook
You will need a 5 subject notebook for Biology. The notebook will be used all year. Please organize it as follows:
First Section: Warm Ups. There will be a warm up question (s) on the board everyday. In this section you must write the date, the number of the warm up (numbers correspond to unit #s), the complete question and answer to the warm up. Please separate each warm up by a high lighter or a line.
Second Section: This is for classroom notes (Powerpoint notes). All Power points are accessible on this website. Notes should be taken outside of class and reviewed during class time.
Third Section: Put all of your textbook times(TBTs) in this section. TBTs should contain at least one full page of notes(front and back) and all of the required questions are answered(questions can go at the bottom of the back side).
Four Section: This section is for the Unit Reflections. There will be two for each unit, one at the midway point usually before a quiz and a final reflection. Reflection instructions can be found on the TBT list for each unit.
Fifth Section: This section is reserved for lab information. Any notes about labs will be taken here.
Notebooks will be collected and graded at the midway point and and the end of the unit. Please pace yourself with your work, doing it all at the very end does not encourage long term memory retention. Label all sections of your notebook and be very obvious in your organization.
